Olympic sprinter 1960 Summer Olympics Signed by the AFL Kansas City Chiefs 1963 Suffered a fractured vertebra in his neck which ended his brief career with the Oakland Raiders . He died 10 days later, on September 8 at the age of 23. The Raiders retired his jersey (no. 33), although he never played in a regular season game. |
