The history of the college bowl games began with the 1902 Tournament East-West football game (sponsored by the Tournament of Roses).  Some of the longest recorded Black college post-season college football games began with the Turkey Day Classic (1924) and the Orange Blossom Classic (1933-79…Florida A&M was the host team), and the Vulcan Bowl (1941-51). Several more contemporary events have emerged and grown in popularity.
