Track (and Field) is Alive and Well

The pandemic that halted all major sporting events caused a lot of concerns about whether HBCU sports could survive. We got a glimpse of the competitiveness of one of the programs in the NCAA Indoor Championships held on  March 11-13, 2021 in Fayetteville, AR. The North Carolina A&T help open the season with some impressive performances.


Track and Field has seen some of sports greatest performers and performances. You may have witnessed some epic highlights in the past, but there are competitors who are creating eye-popping moments in HBCU track. Browse the links below to relive the experiences!

Team: Aggies Women finished 45th in NCAA Indoor Championships

The NC A&T Aggies stunned the field at the NCAA Indoor Championship as they captured the 4×400 relay in 3:03.16 secs. They defeated Kentucky (3:03.61), Tennessee (3:04.10), Georgia (3:04.84) and Florida (3:06.31)).
Aggies: Randolph Ross, Akeem Sirleaf, Daniel Stokes, Trevor Stewart.
