The Annual Toyota HBCU New York Classic to MetLife Stadium debuted in September 2022. It featured Howard Bisons and Morehouse Maroon Tigers. The game’s halftime features special musical guests, spectacular drumline performances, and a battle of the bands between participating schools.
In the inaugural game, senior quarterback Quinton Williams threw two touchdown passes, both 29-yard strikes to graduate wide receiver Antione Murray, and the Bison dominated the Tigers 31-0.
It was the 38th time the programs had faced each other since their first meeting in 1923. Howard holds a 26-10-2 advantage.
Howard, of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is an FCS school, formerly Division 1-AA, while Morehouse is a Division II college competing in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
