The pandemic that halted all major sporting events caused a lot of concerns about whether HBCU sports could survive. We got a glimpse of the competitiveness of one of the programs in the NCAA Indoor Championships held on March 11-13, 2021 in Fayetteville, AR. The North Carolina A&T help open the season with some impressive performances.

The NC A&T Aggies stunned the field at the NCAA Indoor Championship as they captured the 4×400 relay in 3:03.16 secs. They defeated Kentucky (3:03.61), Tennessee (3:04.10), Georgia (3:04.84) and Florida (3:06.31)).
